Do I need to know how to code?

No. It's markdown files in folders — if you can use a text editor, you can use this.

What's Obsidian?

A free note-taking app that opens folders of markdown files as a linked vault. Download it here — Day Zero OS is built for it, but the files are plain markdown, so they're not locked in.

What if it's not for me?

Do I have to use AI with this?

Why not just use a free Obsidian template?

Good general "second brain" templates exist and are worth using for personal notes and research. Day Zero OS is narrower on purpose: it's not a knowledge-management system you adapt to running a business, it's the business-ops structure itself — a decision log, KPI and financial dashboards, a risk register, and an SOP library, pre-built and cross-linked so you're operating on day one instead of spending a weekend designing folders.
